Sicilitude was born from our love for Sicily and a deep desire to help others reconnect with their roots. We are three Sicilian women, who have lived abroad, but always felt the pull of our homeland. Inspired by our experiences and the richness of our culture, we decided to return to Sicily to live and work, dedicating ourselves to sharing its beauty with the world. We came together to create an organization dedicated to roots tourism — helping people rediscover their ancestors and forge meaningful connections with our island.

We used Sicilitude’s relocation services to help with finding a rental in Siracusa. The support we received was practical and well-informed by local knowledge. Silvia provided great advice on the areas we should consider living in Siracusa, utilised her network locally to find listings that were not yet advertised and in addition, helped me to navigate the rental process in Italy (which is very different to Australia).

With Silvia’s support, we were able to secure a fantastic apartment, all within a short period of time upon arriving in Siracusa. This service is a great investment to anyone considering moving to the area.

My husband and I recently relocated from Australia to Siracusa for an extended stay of 18 months. With thanks to Sicilitude, the process to obtain my permesso di soggiorno (permit of stay) was very smooth. Anita supported me every step of the way and her communication and guidance was thorough, precise and always reassuring.

Anita was fantastic! On short notice she found several family documents from the 1800’s and provided us with a detailed itinerary of the locations where my ancestors llived in Messina. Her fees were very fair given the short notice as well. I would highly recommend her services!
